Bravo, Fashion, but Bra-woe is the reality!

It is a Monday. I have taken a day off :

1. To get a haircut
2. To plan where to go for dinner for our Anniversary
3. To plan what to wear that makes me look fashionable and also covers my body flaws.
4. Go out for Dinner(My work requires me to attend meetings between 6- 10:30/11 pm. If I want to have dinner with family or friends, then I have to take off)

Let’s go straight to 3. I spent half a day scanning my wardrobe to decide what to wear. I tried a few(take my word)to check if I still fit into them. Finally, I chose this beautiful white spaghetti top and paired it with the new dark blue jeggings I borrowed from my mom. Yes! Congratulations to me, my mom and I are the same size now. I hope that explains why I had to try a “few” clothes in my wardrobe to check if I still fit into them.

To keep all the strangers from getting offended seeing my bra strap (and also in an attempt to look like the perfect Bollywood dream heroine), I decided to wear a strapless wired bra inside my spaghetti top.

I wore my new golden-coloured hoop earrings and bracelet and applied some red lipstick. Thanks to the haircut and professional blowdrying, my hair fell on my shoulders perfectly. I was certain that if the wind blew, my hair would flow in true Bollywood fashion, with not a trace of frizz to betray the moment.

Fast Forward to Dinner:

We went to this new place that has a lovely ambience and an interesting menu. My husband and I are having a great time. They are playing all the 90s and 2000s hit English songs we knew. It was as if time was at a standstill. But…

My breasts are so suffocated now that I cannot take the stupid bra anymore, so much so that I do not even have the patience to go to the restroom. I wear a shrug(I always carry one because I feel cold all the time), take off my bra like magic and push it inside my handbag all within a minute(Thank god for the space in my handbag).

Just hoped that in case anyone noticed they were not more offended than they would have been had they seen a bra strap on my shoulder.
