Why is it important to acknowledge the work of Labours?

As quoted by Andre Gide -“No human masterpiece has been created without great labour”. So, it is utmost important to acknowledge the work of labours in this society as usually they don’t get the appreciation they deserve.

Today, on 1st May we celebrate Labour Day to give a shoutout to the labours for their contribution but why this work of appreciation is limited to just a single day. Why don’t we appreciate them every now and then?

The problem is we are too much involved in our lives that we don’t even think about the people who are directly or indirectly helping us and making our life easier. They might be a gardener, house-help, driver or maybe an engineer or doctor etc. These people help us directly or indirectly on a daily basis but we don’t give them the appreciation they deserve.

So, my point is anybody’s work whether it may look big or small to you but you should be generous enough to give them the appreciation they deserve and this appreciation should not be limited to a specific day. In the current scenario, it is the efforts of doctors, policemen, cleaners and every COVID warrior to keep us all safe and healthy from the pandemic and they deserve an endless applause for that.
