Trekking- Transforming Lives

Today, I’ll tell you that trekking can be as beautiful as it looks from the outside, it can also be terrifying.

If we do not have complete information about it, many people go trekking. Sometimes we even think that people with certain disabilities can do this too, or they cannot? Everyone does this. There are many people who have been with us many times and helped us climb many peaks but those same people have climbed that peak so many times. In the process of climbing, can you even imagine what they think? Their lives have changed so many times.

The strength they have gained, their physical health has improved so much. While trekking, you have to pay full attention. If you get distracted, your whole life could end, which is why their focus becomes so sharp. There are many things in trekking.

If there are benefits of trekking, there are also drawbacks. Today we will talk about both.

1.Gratitude:

When we go tracking, we realize that the things we used to get easily at home, like bread, food, and water, and all these things that allow us to sleep without fear under a roof, will get lost somewhere in progress.

Now we can’t cook well. Now we have to sleep in fear. In the camp, we always have to carry a torch or safety equipment because we never know what animal might come at night. And if there’s a toilet issue or some problem at night, that’s a different matter.

So when we stay there, we start to feel that these small things make our lives very big. Having food at home, having water, having a house, a roof, all these things seem very significant in our lives after tracking because you won’t find all those comforts in the mountains; you will only find the path and then the cool breeze, nothing else.

But we always hear about Kanchenjunga or Alps in this article. I will also tell you about some other great treks. So stay with us.

2. Beautiful view:

Most people go tracking because they want to see a beautiful view. By going up the mountain, they can see the entire city and the atmosphere below. After a long process of climbing the mountain, they get the chance to see this beautiful view, especially for photography.

We mostly heard about The Himalayan treks, but I want to tell you about some different peaks. You will find many peaks in the south Indian region as well. But the two peaks I want to mention here are Goechala Trek, which is in Western Sikkim, where you can see 14 peaks together.

And another one is *Sandakphu* which is in Darjeeling. So I hope I have mentioned two beautiful peaks and you will definitely Google to see how beautiful they are.

3. With Group:

When we go alone, we need a lot of things, and if we are people without any experience thinking about tracking, it becomes quite difficult.

But when we go with a group, it becomes much easier. To some extent, because many tasks get shared. So, taking a hiking group with you, or having a guide who knows how to climb that mountain well is very beneficial because it keeps dangerous things away from you and prevents you from getting into dangerous paths and doesn’t let you get lost. So going with a guide and a group makes it much easier for you.

And most importantly, when you are with people, your social compatibility increases. Interacting with people boosts your brain and dopamine levels. Initially, you might doubt yourself, thinking you can’t be with a group or are too introverted, but trekking can break you out of your shell. As social beings, group trekking improves both physical and mental health.

4. After trekking indoor is never the same:

When there are so many benefits of trekking, obviously when something has many advantages, there will also be some disadvantages.

The biggest disadvantage is that trekking offers new experiences, beautiful views, great paths, and a spiritual connection. It feels adventurous, but once home, you’ll just sit, work, and return to your routine. Everything will feel so strange, you will feel like you have returned to a different world.

You’ll want to go back, but everything costs money, and thinking about it makes you feel like working. The biggest downside of trekking is getting bored with regular life — you’ll crave another trek and head straight to one whenever you get a holiday.

5. Your anger issues can’t be same:

Spiritually, you connect to yourself and when you do that you become calm by your nature.

Tracking makes you mentally focus a lot by which you can become more productive also, so you end up doing a lot of great work.

When you find peace, you can’t really be angry about anything. You wonder why people are debating so much about something ? Why are they fighting so much?

You will feel that by doing trekking which is seen as a physical task changes your mental focus so much that the things that can make a person’s life go upside down and that time you are staying calm.

The hormones related to anger or high blood pressure will also decrease a lot. So everything will happen so well that your Best friend Miss Angriness won’t be coming anytime soon.

6. Can be expensive:

So, the person who wants to go tracking will obviously need physical gear. To ensure their health is not compromised, a lot of medicines will be required.

An oxygen tank will also be used, if there are many things that might come in handy in certain conditions, which will cost a lot of money. You need to have a tour guide. You have to reach there. Food, drink, and accommodation will require a bit more expense because you will need many things. Extra items to use there and some things to keep you safe from animals will also incur significant costs. So, all of this makes the tracking process very expensive, and it’s not for everyone.

If you plan to go with just ₹20,000–25,000, it won’t be possible. You need to plan a month ahead, complete the tour guide, choose your track, decide how you want to do it, the views you prefer, and the timing. Do you have that much money, and can you manage that?

Is your health giving you permission to trek at such a height because people having respiratory problems can’t go for trekking or if they go it will become very difficult and again very expensive.

Conclusion:

So finally, if we draw a conclusion, it will be this. Whether it’s trekking or anything else, there are pros and cons to everything.

I have shared many things with you. I have also mentioned some good tracks. If you want to look into them in detail, I can provide you with all the links in this article as well.

And I have told you about many pros and cons and who knows what depends on you? Because every individual is different, what do they want to do?

Every article discusses many tracks, but no one tells you about the real challenges you’ll face. This helps us decide if tracking is right for us. This article is for you — if you find it helpful or have questions about which track to choose, feel free to ask.
