Ruben “The Beast” Arroyo is a professional bare-knuckle fighter competing in the Featherweight division of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). Originally hailing from El Paso, Texas, Arroyo’s early life was marked by significant challenges. He resided on a Native American reservation, an environment he describes as one “where not many people make it out.” Following a period of incarceration in Texas, Arroyo faced further adversity upon his release when he discovered that his home had burned down just days before, leaving him homeless with only $20 to his name and the clothes on his back. Despite these hardships, he found refuge in his car and maintained access to a gym for basic necessities. Securing employment was difficult due to his criminal record, but a local Subway restaurant provided him an opportunity, and he worked diligently to rebuild his life.

Arroyo’s combat sports journey began with amateur mixed martial arts (MMA) fights in 2015. However, he later transitioned to bare-knuckle boxing, seeking a new avenue to channel his fighting spirit. He made his BKFC debut in Denver, Colorado, which he now considers his home.

In his professional career, Arroyo has faced formidable opponents. Notably, he was scheduled to fight Dylan Schulte at the BKFC Prospect Series in Denver on May 31, 2024, but had to withdraw prior to the event. He later competed against Nash “The Ghost” Diederichs at BKFC 67, an event headlined by Chris Camozzi and Sawyer Depee.

Looking ahead, Arroyo is set to face Lorenzo Coca at BKFC Fight Night Albuquerque on February 28, 2025. This upcoming bout is part of a card headlined by a bantamweight clash between Keith Richardson and Bekhzod Usmonov.
