From the tiniest spark of conception to the journey between birth and death, life is one magical ride. There are moments we never forget, and others we wish we could. This past year, Year of the Snake, offered us the opportunity to let go of things no longer serving us — not just of old clothes from your closet and pictures from your phone, but of soul contracts and relationship cycles that had come to full completion. The kind of death that made room for something new to emerge — a new you with a new life.

Think of your identity. Was it shaken to the core, one by one, parts of your routine falling off? I’m sure it was. The taste of dishes you used to eat at certain homes that you no longer visit, or the scent of cologne that faded with a lost memory after a break-up. These past 12 months were destined for final goodbyes, just as natural as a snake shedding its skin. You couldn’t stop it.

However, amid the grief, something powerful emerged: a cleaner, clearer, and more radiant version of yourself. No longer clouded or delayed by obstacles in your path, you’re free from old habits, obligations, and lifestyles that no longer align. After accepting how the old has fallen off, you can then embark on an entirely new beginning in 2026, the year of the Horse.

Think about it. The very nature of a horse is to run wild and free, forward in movement as it charges ahead. If anything were still weighing you down, you wouldn’t be able to take off. The year of the Horse needs an empty road to speed through the wilderness — not out of fear or anger, but out of good health and vitality. Hence, the Unicorn.

Why not? Imagine the Unicorn? Is it not within the same family as horses? The only difference is that Unicorns are considered mystical creatures because of their horn, which points from their third eye. Hmmm… Sound familiar?

Don’t we all have a third eye?

With that said, if you release all your blockages and confront all your shadows in 2025, your third eye will be nice and open for the following year: 2026. You’re not just headed in any direction because the path is straightforward; you’re headed towards a vision, a new dream that has outlived an outdated one.

If, in your vision, you’ve dreamed of taking your writing to the next level by writing a whole book, visit my website, jasmineclemente.com, and let’s see how I can help. I’ll be traveling overseas to work on my next memoir, and I’d love for you to follow the process and maybe try it yourself one day — that is, writing and traveling. Remember, the runway must be clear.
