My Altered

Attitudes have altered The constitutions changed The games we played were different Regular is rearranged.

I have an altered attitude The centre’s still the same I tweak and adjust And keep you in the frame.

I’ve undergone a sea change I see the change in me I’m searching for new images And wonder who I’ll be.

I bought a white sports coat And I can’t find the carnation Am I here or in? Another incarnation.

Most of my mail is missing Where have the letters gone? The postie needs incarceration Burnt fingers with gloves on.

Outside the rain is falling Teardrops from my eyes The moon is full of memories Laments and latent sighs.

I’m apt to change my attitude My face still looks the same My outlook though has altered Alteration is the game.

The surprise in the cat’s eye It melts my mind with mirth Strange things can happen On this planet Earth.
