I studied my Class 9 and 10 computer science chapters (1–10) in a way that helped me avoid constantly going back to the textbook. For theory, I read each chapter thoroughly and created simplified notes in my own words so revision became quick and easy.
For programming, instead of memorizing textbook programs, I focused on understanding the basics first. I used the Simply Coding YouTube channel to learn important concepts like number patterns, star patterns, and especially nested loops, along with series programs and number-based problems such as prime numbers, Harshad numbers, and duck numbers. I also watched videos on string handling and made notes that included the logic and structure (a clear blueprint) of each program.
I recommend practicing from a chapter-wise past 16 years’ question bank instead of year-wise papers. Focus especially on theory-based questions and short-answer (2-mark) program-related questions, since similar types of questions often repeat every year.
It’s also important to clearly understand concepts like prefix and postfix operators, converting between loops (for example, do-while to for loop), and rewriting ternary operators as if-else statements. For arrays, focus on mastering key algorithms like linear search, binary search, bubble sort, and selection sort.
Most importantly, prepare your own notes for both theory and programs. This makes revision faster and helps you truly understand the concepts.
