This month, our writers spoke about jealousy without shame.

They revisited final goodbyes they never knew were final.

They wrote stories that were uncomfortable, beautiful, heartbreaking, funny, and deeply human.

And that’s exactly the kind of writing this community was built for.

✍️Writing Challenges That Defined July

This month, we hosted two writing challenges, and together they brought some of the most personal writing we’ve seen all year.

More than rankings or prizes, these challenges became conversations.

Writers shared memories they had never written about before.

They trusted strangers with emotions they had carried for years.

That is something worth celebrating.

Jealousy is rarely the story.

Usually, it’s pointing toward something much deeper.

37 writers explored childhood, fairness, family, friendship, dreams, and the quiet comparisons we all carry.

Every submission reminded us that even difficult emotions deserve compassion.
