Weeknotes, Friday 5 June
Lots of interesting chats and workshops this week, although I’m definitely ready for a break. So it’s good we’re going on holiday / seeing family in Italy next week (final chance to get over there before Veronica’s too pregnant to fly).
What was good
Having a chat with an accessibility specialist from central gov. They had lots of helpful advice, like:
- taking advantage of central gov training that’s taken years to produce, rather than trying to reinvent the wheel
- considering specialist training needs for developers
- the importance of leadership buy in
Finding out more about incoming governance and design assurance processes, lots of opportunity to improve how products and services are delivered and get some consistency.
A Content Design team day discussing how to best communicate and embed our new content strategy.
Planning for future team days and sessions, discussing with colleagues what we want to get our of these.
What was challenging
Some gruelling but necessary content shifting for an impending website launch.
What are you looking forward to next week
Chats about accessibility skills.
