Hello! I have some wonderful news to share. The Shiki Theatre Company’s musical “Anne of Green Gables” is finally coming to Akita Prefecture! This timeless classic has been loved across generations, and a special performance is being held to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s birth.
The protagonist, Anne Shirley, is a charming girl who is bright, talkative, and has a wonderful imagination that colors her everyday life. Her positive approach to life and the warmth of the people around her are sure to brighten the hearts of the audience.
I’m planning to see it on June 4th, and I can’t wait!
