Torn Between Two Fires

Stuck between a rock and a hard place, this poem explores tough choices.

Some chase their dreams, so far away, Leaving loved ones, day by day. They think success will make them whole, But lose the warmth that fills the soul.

While others stay with hearts so true, And let their dreams fade from view. They choose love over what could be, Sacrificing their own victory.

One walks alone to reach the sky, While the other stays, afraid to fly. Both carry a weight they cannot share, For love and dreams are hard to pair.

The dreamer’s heart is full of fire, But the lover’s heart desires to inspire. Each one giving, but never whole, As both are missing a piece of soul.

Is there a path where dreams and love, Can walk together, hand in glove? Or must we choose what’s left behind, A part of us that’s hard to find?

For some, the road is clear and bright, While others struggle, day and night. No matter which way we may roam, We search for love, and find our home.

So let’s not judge the road they take, For every choice, a heart may break. Dreams and love, both sides are true, The hardest part is knowing what to do.
