The Unexpected Joy of Collecting and Creating Beautiful Notebooks

Hands up, if you are a person who — let’s say while going on holiday — would look for stationary stores, or after visiting a castle, museum, national park, you go straight into the gift shop to look for notebooks. You pick the most stunning ones — obviously these will be the most expensive ones as well, but who cares — it’s a lovely notebook!
Then you are just like me, my friend.
Beautiful notebooks are very similar to cups — you just cannot have enough of them. They can make your day just by looking at them, regardless if you use them or not.
You may have dotted bullet bullet journals, simple lined or blank notebooks for journaling or sketching, jotting down notes, to do lists, keeping track of your mood, blood sugar level, water intake etc.
Because of their multifunctionality it’s easy to fall into a trap of buying more than you really need. Some would say you just creating clutter by purchasing the tenth notebook, but for collectors like us there is nothing like enough.

Notebooks are like good friends — you can turn to them any time, they will comfort you, remind you about important things in life or just cheer you up when that’s what you need.
So when I turned to digital drawing somehow it felt natural to put my designs on notebooks and publish them on Amazon. Well, unfortunately, this is not a lucrative business, since the market is saturated, still, it felt good just to see my digital patterns turning into something tangible. Also, I imagined people who are like me — fan of notebooks — and enjoying the design, the quiet moments that these simple objects can provide them.
If you search on Amazon for SoulNotes Journals you will find multiple notebooks, but these are mine (all lined with 120 pages, 6x9 inches):

For those who enjoy the retro vibes. :-)

I know this sounds a little immodest from me but I just love them. I don’t have all of them at home, because there is no chance I can fill them, but I had so much fun creating these. I think that counts too :-)
