Supreme Court Rejects Attempt to Toss 14th Amendment

As Trump continues his unconstitutional, anti-birthright citizenship crusade

The 14th Amendment is still alive and kickin’ and that makes Trump angry. Come on, Donny! Turn that frown upside down! You grifted your way to $1.4 billion in crypto.

Anyway, that pesky amendment is messing up his build-the-wall, no asylum, mass deportation, anti-immigration racist agenda.

Donny argued the irksome Amendment, specifically Section 1, Clause 1, aka the Citizenship clause, is misunderstood. It was just meant for children of former slaves.

We’re not begrudgin’ Donny’s right to sit there, but who was he kidding? We’re stunned he didn’t fall asleep. Or did he? Reports say he did. But fortunately for Donny, there were no cameras. He was just resting his eyes. Right!

Oral arguments lasted just over two hours. Donny could only take about 1 hour and 13 minutes. He abruptly got up and left about 13 minutes into the opposing counsel's argument. Hey Donny! Was it something SHE said?

Flash forward. The Supremes rejected Donny's move to unilaterally end the constitutional right of birthright citizenship.

“Citizenship then and now, was the right to have rights — to freely participate in our political community. We keep that promise today.” "The Framers of the Fourteenth Amendment extended that promise to every free-born person in this land. We keep that promise today.”

Hey! The Supremes are keeping a promise. This time.

One of Donny’s own appointees, Justice Amy Coney Barrett, joined the majority. So, NOT loyal!

The vote should've been 9-0. It’s a cause of concern. Something written clearly in the Constitution should've resulted in a fudgin’ undisputed decision.

Justices Alito, Thomas, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh need to go back to remedial reading of the Constitution class. Or they're OK with a corrupt American president who can sign his scribble on an executive order and erase a part of the Constitution.

Is this Trump’s first step to rewriting the Constitution? Hmmm . . .

Some background — Trump v. Barbara

This started as a legal dispute between President Donny and an asylum-seeking mother from Honduras living in New Hampshire. "Barbara" became pregnant while her legal case was pending. The ACLU represented “Barbara.”

Trump signed the EO attempting to end birthright citizenship. Say no to babies born in the U.S. to parents who don't have citizenship or permanent legal residency. He wants to protect real Americans. He wants to preserve jobs for real Americans. Like those jobs working in the fields in 100 degree weather. BTW, they pay taxes, unlike rich billionaires like Elon Musk and President Donny.

“Barbara,” alongside the ACLU, sued. They argued that Donny’s EO violated the citizenship clause.

The Supreme Court ruled in Barbara’s favor, striking down Trump’s EO. BOO HOO!

Hey Justices, Donny doesn't like some of you

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the majority opinion. Justice Amy Coney-Barrett and the three liberal justices–Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson were yeses.

While **Brett Kavanaugh* concurred only because he agreed the EO was invalid. It's federal immigration law NOT the Constitution. Give us a fudgin’ break! Kavanaugh's explanation is a copout or clever? OK. Congress. Hint, hint.*

The NO votes. Right-leaning Clarence "private jet/162-foot superyacht vacation” Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, and Samuel Alito. Thomas wrote a 91-page angry rant. 91 pages! But buried in those 91 pages, did Thomas give Donny a way to circumvent Congress? TBD.

Alito whined. The 14th Amendment is about slaves' equal rights. But it’s been repurposed for "political projects” and the decision “a serious mistake.”

What is more frightening? That grudgin’ Donny tried to vanquish the 14th Amendment to our Constitution? Or three, maybe four Justices were more than happy to let him do it?

Donny has a new deportation opening — birth tourism

**Birth tourism — **foreigners traveling to the U.S. temporarily to give birth.

They just want their kids to be classified as American citizens.

Both Gorsuch and Thomas balked at the children of birth tourism. Because of the "domicile” issue.

Republicans want the State Department to stop handing out visas to pregnant applicants. Next up! Forced pregnancy tests for all foreign national women entering the country.

FUN FACT! A U.S. soccer player who is playing in the World Cup is a birthright citizen. If Donny got his way, Folarin Balogun would have been deported.

Of course, the left and right reacted

White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy *Stephen “WEIRD”* Miller*, who argued that birthright citizenship was a ‘ridiculous scam’,* gave his doomsday two cents.

“One of the most DESTRUCTIVE and outrageous decisions in the long history of the Supreme Court.”

He also had an interesting scare tactic spin on the decision.

“Birthright citizenship means the children of illegal aliens can vote to tax your children and SEIZE their inheritance."

As opposed to a federal government taking taxpayer money to pay for fudgin’ ballrooms and arches, Stevie?

House Speaker Johnson could only really muster a groan and an eye roll.

Sadist **Sean Davis**, co-founder of The Federalist, had a few twisted ideas for Congress.

Deny entry to not only ALL pregnant foreigners but ALL FEMALE foreigners.

Require sterilization of ALL foreign visitors prior to entry. Even the men?

Conservative media’s **Ben Shapiro* called it a “legal abomination.” *As opposed to moral or ethical abominations of how the Trump regime is treating migrants? That’s a rhetorical question.

President of the Heritage Foundation **Kevin Roberts* said it was a “tremendous betrayal of the republic” that had “inflamed the all-out assault on our sovereignty.”* All-out assault? Jan. 6 was an assault.

**Grant Stinchfield* of Real America’s Voice stated, “one of the worst decisions the Supreme Court has ever made.”* Worst? We can think of at least one that was worse.

It’s Congress’s, move now! Trump has a fudgin’ yawn reaction

Trump says he will try to end birthright citizenship through Congress now. Nudge. Nudge.

The Supreme Court upheld Birthright Citizenship, which is too bad for our Country, but we can easily make it up in Congress through Legislation, with the support of the President, that has now been determined during this process. No long and unwieldy Constitutional Amendment is necessary! Congress should start TODAY to work on ending expensive and unfair to our Country, Birthright Citizenship. They will have my Complete and Total Support! President DONALD J. TRUMP

TOO BAD? That doesn’t sound like the Whiner-in-Chief after a loss. Where’s the fury? The name-calling? The threats? Or will Donny use his newly given presidential powers to strike back in other ways?

Then why didn't you do it already? Donny knows he doesn't have the votes to get through both houses? That annoying 60-vote Senate filibuster.

Sorry, Donny. You don't get to rewrite the Constitution with your black magic marker. Though the Trump regime will step-up their efforts to deport more people in other ways.

The Fourteenth Amendment survived this time. The Supreme Court is now on summer vacay. We can breathe a sigh of relief. Until the next time where we are just one vote away from burning the Constitution to ashes.
