The imminent total solar eclipse on 4 Dec 2021 belongs to a family called Saros Cycle 5 New South, meaning that the total solar eclipse on 12 Sagittarius carries with it a sense of joy and happiness. Check if you have any planets (particularly personal/social ones) and/or angular house cusp from 8–16 degrees of the mutable signs (Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius & lastly Virgo). Those can bring important manifestations that will gradually unfold over the next ~3 years (or more) based on the mentioned key development dates above.

The tightest aspect from the New Moon is an inconjunct to Uranus in Taurus, which may make spontaneous and instinctive actions and feelings feel initially awkward or out-of-place, but as the eclipse unfolds one can really direct one’s energies in an independent or sporadic manner, and usually along unique or unusual lines.

There is also a whole-hearted embrace and love of speculation and innovation, helping one to start off on an adventure from the welcome of fresh, expansive energies — ready to be revitalized by being able to live freely and by following one’s own unique path via creative, passion projects and/or having new space for a relationship to come into one’s life to “be or feel alive”.

Mars is also squaring Venus-Pluto too under this eclipse — inferring that intense love and great passions will be expressed. Despite the New Moon inconjunct Uranus mentioned earlier, one will feel an overwhelming urge to act, since one is impelled to take initiative based on an intense love and/or passion.

This potentially inspiring energy is to be honored and acted upon with a game plan, since Saturn forms a sextile to the New Moon from Aquarius — inferring that a planned-out, step-by-step thought out plan for the future is our gateway to materialize our future vision and reality, all whilst releasing a dogmatic mindset of how things “ought to and will be”. Flexibility of plan and adaptability are key to harness this eclipse’s full potential.

FYI: This will be the last eclipse along the Gemini-Sagittarius axis. Mars Rx in late 2022- early 2023 will occur from 8–26 degrees in Gemini, re-activating nearly all eclipses along the Gemini-Sagittarius axis that is occurring currently in 2020 & 2021 … meaning that we will re-visit these energies we are now experiencing then.
