Day-17 of VIth Semester

Computer vision got cancelled and the other one too, we had only management class for two hours again.

Elements and tools of scientific management were discussed. Seperation of planning and doing, functional foremanship, job analysis, standardization, scientific selection and training of workers, financial incentive and mental revolution. Henri Faylon’s principles of management are started, he is known as father of modern management. Division of work, authority and responsibility, discipline, unity of direction, unity of command and subordinates of individual interests, remuneration of personnel, scalar chain , centralization, order, equity, stability of tenure of personnel, initiative, espirits de corps. Faylon theory is focusses on administrative improvements whereas the previous Taylor theory focuses on process improvement.

Computer vision topics were not taught and said that we have to read them by ourself for today’s class. I had been to movie, it was good. Everything was refreshing.
