The Writing Dilemma (A Poem)

A silly way to express this feeling.

The current situation that I’m in, is not being able to write when I begin. The ideas are there, but nothing will click, nothing is sticking out to me, it’s hard to pick.

A silly poem might do when I feel this way, the desire is there, but the words won’t stay. My drafts are full, but the topics aren’t appealing, it’s like writer’s block, but I’m dealing.

I sit at my laptop every night, hoping and praying with all my might. Desperately waiting for that next story, maybe staring at a white screen is the key.

So many ideas roam in my head, but I can’t bring them to life, so I pause instead. It’s funny when desire and ability don’t align; it’s happened before; it’ll be just a matter of time.

I hope you enjoyed my poem! Lately, I have had so many ideas for writing, yet none of them feel suitable enough. None of my drafts are speaking to me. I have to feel connected enough to the story in that moment to bring a draft to life.

This feeling has been around for a few weeks. I desperately want to write and publish my stories, but I’m struggling with picking a topic that feels right!
