The Trump administration just obliterated any remaining pretense of American decency—literally and figuratively—off the coast of Venezuela. Eleven people were massacred at sea, their lives snuffed out by repeated U.S. airstrikes, as a gleeful President Trump and his second-term cabal in Washington paraded bigotry and brutality with ghoulish abandon. Of course, cruelty IS the point of an American pogrom of wanton murder-when-we-want by a dangerous, incompetent, and inept kakistocracy now drunk on its own hubris and warped sense of righteousness.

Let’s not sugarcoat this for a millisecond. The Trump White House has thrown away whatever was left of restraint, morality, or even basic legality. Eleven souls—maybe refugees, maybe criminals, maybe just unlucky—were incinerated because “national defense” apparently now means executing brown people with impunity. Citing “narco-terrorism,” the administration refuses to present a single shred of evidence that the victims were anything but escapees from violence. Instead, we get the usual rancid political slop: vague open-ended claims, classified sources, and signal chats leaking casual atrocities with glee.

Let’s look at the facts. The Venezuelan boat in question was a cramped vessel, stuffed to the gills with desperate human beings. That’s not how drug lords move product—unless Trump wants us to believe that criminal masterminds have suddenly decided to swap speedboats and submarines for sardine cans full of refugees. The truth, as usual with this regime, is even uglier: The real crime was fleeing—daring to run from the international horror show Trump helped nurture and create in Venezuela. Desperate people with very little to lose trying to get away from the inhumane effects of United States criminal sanctions that have cost the lives of thousands of Venezuelans.

None of this was an accident. The boat turned to retreat, and the military knew it. Command saw it. Radar confirmed it. Yet the U.S. fired anyway—no warning, no trial, just summary execution by aircraft. This is not warfare, not justice, not policy. It’s outright stone-cold murder. It’s state-sanctioned tyranny of the most naked, fascistic breed.

Trump’s sycophantic, spineless but dangerous war cheerleaders, Vice President J.D. Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth (“classified info” leaked in unsecure Signal chats, no less), can continue their chest-thumping. But this was never about national security—it was a snuff film for an audience that equates cruelty with strength. It was blood for votes, murder for ratings, and terror as policy. It appealed to the most insane and jingoistic sections of Trump’s MAGA base cult, where up is down and down is up, and their man-child orange messiah can do no wrong.

America First? Try America Unhinged. Try America as Death Cult, starring a president who treats the Constitution like a used napkin and international law as a punchline. If this nation’s definition of self-defense now includes bombing fishing boats and incinerating fleeing families, what’s next—drone strikes on school buses in Brooklyn? Airstrikes on the indigent for overdue library books? So, tell me again how did this calculated act of pure cruelty Make America Great Again?

And where are those so-called patriots and constitutionalists now? You know the ones that like to preen and strut their performance politics on the evening news. The ones who shout and speak loudly, saying absolutely nothing. The political hypocrites are the real wolves dressed up in 21st-century finery. Hiding behind their slogans, parroting whatever Fox News excretes onto the screen, terrified that actual accountability might dampen their bloodlust. Yet we all know why. Their moral backbone collapsed the second Trump decided to trade humanity for “strength.” They drank the Trump Kool-Aid and embraced the fascist cult.

If anyone in Congress possessed a scrap of integrity, they’d impeach Trump immediately for crimes against humanity. Call the international courts. Call the Hague. Former Filipino president Duterte is there for murdering “drug dealers”—now Trump should join him for turning our foreign policy into televised death. But America is the world’s has-been hegemon—still dangerous, still capable of unbelievable cruelty—so taking even a tepid step, such as condemning Donald Trump and company’s summary execution in the Caribbean Sea, is, for the spineless congressional chameleons, too much to stomach. So, mark my words: he’s gotten away with this one; he going to do it again.

No matter how the administration tries to spin it, this was murder, not war. It was thuggery in America’s name, with our money. If Americans don’t rise up, demand investigations, and bring Trump and his enablers to justice, history will record our silence as complicity and willing enablers.
