So I wanted to do something with my engineering degree that is not the traditional route”

According to our interview with an Lau student and owner of a digital marketing agency visionarymena, Peter Baradie, the motivation to start his own business was his view of the world as he shared that: “I always viewed the world as a system in which we are technically programmed subconsciously of going and sitting down reporting to someone and that someone judges you numerically but then it is just not creating anything, I am very creative, I like to buy and sell, I like to be always doing something.”

Rayan Safadi USG fashion design student has also expressed her art through her fashion brand business 18 candles. She says that the key to her success were her paintings that allowed her to have a unique aspect giving her a competitive advantage and a brand image in an over saturated market.

The two most crucial skills are discipline and consistency says Baradei. He says “ without discipline you will never start and without consistency you will never finish.”

According to a CNBC article released on November 8, 2022, Ahmad Abu Daher, a 22-year-old started a cryptocurrency mining business in Lebanon after graduating from university. He found himself in a struggling job market and decided to teach himself technical skills by watching YouTube videos. Abu Daher and his team of more than 40 Lebanese and Syrian employees manage thousands of machines across the country, earning him $20,000 a month.

The961 reported on august 21,2021 that a group of Lebanese high-school students from Kornet Chehwan launched their own business, Hiventure, making nature bags as a practical and useful product for outdoor lovers. The students were inspired by the dire economic situation in Lebanon and wanted to create a product that would make outdoor journeys more comfortable. They designed unique bags with a focus on organization, safety, and quality, and offered them at half the market price.
