What water lilies and lotuses teach us -

Water lilies and lotuses are some of the most mesmerizing flowers to exist. When the bloom, they’re a sight to behold. They’re aquatic and grow in still, freshwater environments. There’s a famous saying in Hindi which translates into ‘Lotus blooms only in dirty water’. That’s something to think about. These flowers are usually found in ponds which look ugly. They grow in water bodies which have a lot of algae, where people wouldn’t dare to even think of having a swim. While this may be the environment required for these flowers to thrive in, there’s another way to look at it. They add beauty to ugly environments, or even go as far as saying, they rise despite the adversities of their homes. They don’t blame their circumstances, instead grow above them to create something beautiful and magical.

Wherever we might be, personally or professionally, we can choose- either to complain about the situation and be miserable or transcend it and continue to grow beyond it.
