Stasis… in part

Hello there. The photo is from the backyard. And given the way the week has gone, I need a chance to relax.
To answer the obvious (for those who have been following along, anyway), no, the missing shelves for the shower niches have not yet appeared. As the title of this post says, that’s still in stasis. The contactor was trying to get more information on Wednesday, and so far there’s been no update. We’ll see. My guess is they don’t want to send anyone up here to install them without sending them to do some other job in the area. It’s a long way to go to just install two shelves.
But despite the lack of progress there, the week was busy. That explains the rest of the title.
First off, there have been a lot of changes to the community association website. Surprisingly many in a short time, along with the ongoing file cleanup effort. On that score, you may recall that there were 1,163 files to go through in groups of 20. I’ve managed to review, rename, and retitle 12 full pages of files this past week, along with a number of other files that I got to because I was working on related groups of files. It’s a huge mess, but now there are 1,129 files left. I’ve deleted a few files, which helps, but of course I’ve added some as well, so nothing is simple.
But it is progress, and it will continue in the coming weeks.
Then there’s the monthly email. Today is the submission deadline, and I need to get it sent to my proofreaders sometime tomorrow at the latest. It’s close to ready, but I have a few hours of work left to do.
And finally, there’s Tinkerbelle, who appears to have come down with a UTI shortly after her last vet visit. That’s been "entertaining," and we’re now on the “take her out every 3 hours whether or not she wants to go” plan. We just got back from the vet with a round of doggy antibiotics, and we’ll see how it goes. The diagnosis isn’t exactly clear, but a UTI is most likely, and if the antibiotics resolve it, we’ll know in hindsight. If there’s still a problem in a few days, we go back and try again.
This dog is clearly out of warranty.
And so am I. Which reminds me… Fair warning: I’ve got one of those lovely medical procedures we’re all supposed to get as we get older scheduled for next Friday. Not sure how that will impact anything, but I doubt you’ll get a post from me on the day. I don’t know if I will post the day before, the day after, or just skip a week, but don’t panic either way.
That’s it for me this time. Sorry it’s so short, but I have to get back to work on the email.
Cheers!
