Pride: in every human.
Pride: in every human.
Position , possession, passion, the desires for self value are beneficial to a point; harmful over the years when done through pride, self value above others that causes harm.
Every soul is called to walk a balanced life. Living peacefully. Spiritual, seeking inner peace possessing contentment in all situations, walking-aware of the presence of God, while demonstrating outward gentleness, goodness, with charity.
God, for us, is present to assist, aid, and direct our efforts to be full of a selfless life. Because our self should be all for Glory to God.
Pride has the potential to destroy. The angels fell from heaven, for the works of pride. Pride can fuel resilience; unto self-destruction.
There is an intense personal detriment: caused by overly self promotion, as pride, artificial confidence, and a disconnection from reality; this is behavior that destroys self and has negative consequences for others.
Moments repeated become habits
Habits of virtue: consistent dispositions for doing good, using prudence, for justice, with fortitude, always with temperance. These are necessary to balance a slope of pride. There is a needed balance.
Unchecked Hubris
The term arrogance comes from the Latin adrogare, meaning “to feel that one has a right to demand certain attitudes and behaviors from other people”. To arrogate means “to claim or seize without justification.
Hubris, arrogance, and pretension are related to the need for victory ( personality security). Over valuing ones Self worth while diminishing the worth of others is a double edge sword, and a driving force (negative) sustaining hubris, and arrogance.
Hubris is also referred to as “pride that blinds” because it often causes a committer of hubris to act in foolish ways that belie common sense.
A better path
Live to be content in all circumstances. Your circumstances are known to God. Faith in God offers a path to transition through whatever the circumstance.
He who is contented is rich.” — Lao Tzu.
Philippians 4:11–13: “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
1 Timothy 6:6–8: “But godliness with contentment is great gain.
Hebrews 13:5: “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee
Natural existing has uncertainty.
The sands are shifting. Let me attempt TO explain. If you’re on the journey toward a greater understanding of your relationship with Jesus Christ, you’re walking on both shifting and solid ground: 1.Natural and 2.Spiritual. These are the two types of walking that you’re doing. The first walking as a natural man walks using human values , like walking in the waves on the beach , the sand is shifting. The instincts, desires, and worldly wisdom are not corner stones. James 3:15–17
The Sand under your feet, firm for The Moment is Shifting Away. Each wave with its GENTLY flowing touch, removes our once sure footing: the sand underneath shifts.
Your confidence in your efforts absent from God, are similiar to the shifting sands under your feet.
Your position in life is shifting, sometimes swiftly, sometimes slowly. Undetected your foundation is shifting overtime. Distracted by the significance of the world and what it offers, you’re unaware of the subtle actions that might potentially lead to your destruction.
Rooted in God’s character and presence. You have spiritual security that manifest as natural benefit.
Every wave that comes and goes, silently undermines your foundation; shifts are occurring.
UNDETECTED, the shiftings are removing your stability, your foundation, and the SUPPORTING structure of your belief. The sifting sands are subtle, moving slowly as to be unnoticed, the the characters of their movement are the Thorns of this World drowning out your worth. External Hardships, temptations- your personal lust, internal struggles- doubts, vain relationships, distractions stealing focus, and worries. Matthew 13:22; Mark 4:18–19.
Gradual
Gradually stealing your Desires, Hopes And light. Shadows, soft touches, dimming the flames, shorting the river of life , hopes fade. In pride, you persist until the lights are turned out, a life lost. Eroding belief moving with certainty, eroding your foundation, erasing the source of your confidence. You slip into making decisions while not on solid ground.
God in your decision making.
In your mind you made a solid step. You put your will in action, to move with that decision. You invest all your ability, skill, knowledge and your heart. You took on the ethics of this world, but ultimately like the sand under your feet on the beach, the wave of life’s events erode that foundation. Correction must come from God in a protecting way for your benefit.
Recognizing correction that comes from protection is critical in your direction forward. Wisdom whispers in the voice of correction . Progress in your life must come from right decisions in the right moment for your good.
Pride interferes with valuing that correction that is a protection. Life can be lost, through free will, it can become one’s detriment.
Pride prevents self honesty. Ego becomes greater than, than accepting truth.
You see, it is Christ who makes your path secure. “Christ came so that you might have life”. John 10:10.
TO be ESTABLISHED on your journey, ONE MUST faithfully accept God’s provision: THE way: stability, security, peace, WITH gentle loving while ensuring your way.
The Bible describes the Jesus as your rock. Your body is described as a temple where the Holy spirit dwells. 1 Corinthians 6:19–20. You are redeemed with the blood of Christ, your boasting should only be in the Lord . 1 Corinthians 1:31, Galatians 6:14. The love of Christ redeemed you.
You have only one life, and it is one journey. How you walk, with what foundation you build, determines your eternity. However, how you walk is so impactful upon the lives of others. We are not islands. You walk so that the Will of God can be made manifest in your life While doing for your fellow man. This action being a living testimony gives Glory to God , is beneficial to self and encouragement for others.
First commandment. Love God with all your heart, Second command, love your neighbor as yourself. You fulfill your walk as you love, God. Accept His dependency, and love your neighbor, while doing so your river of life flows abundantly from the blessings and favor that you have received to the Benefit of others. Favor to favor , grace for grace, mercy lovingly given. John 7:38 — “Whoever believes in me….., as Scripture has said, …rivers of living water will flow from within them, the power of the Holy Spirit. The presence of the Holy Spirit moving in you, gives life : richly abundant, ever flowing spirit of God .
God’s presence in all beseeching prevents pride while revitalizes the soul, no matter the circumstances.
