Inside a circle, Tallinn: Old town and Tatari

My journey continues, to refresh the memory, my goald is to challenge myself to take pictures showing diversity in reduced spaces. This time it was too easy, walking away from old town in any of the directions will lead to something totally different. This time the decision was to cover part of old town and then walk away to Tatari area. Too much pictures to choose, but I managed to sort 5 photos, here we go.

Harju street serves as a bridge between the modern Freedom square (Vabaduse Väljak) and the medieval Town hall square (Raekoja plats), during the walk, different styles blend, and you can see totally different styles by looking to the right or left. Winter time hosts the ice rink where kids have fun while the fathers try to return home with all bones. During summertime lot of people gathers there to drink or enjoy the Estonian sun whenever there is an opportunity.

Estonian national library is a beautiful piece of architecture, layer by layer of limestone almost as if it was a giant gray sculpture. Sunset makes it even more beautiful.

Pärnu mantee is the never-ending street, from soviet buildings to more modern buildings up to lovely small houses in Nomme area. Anything you need you will find it at some point of this street.

Tatari street connects Livalaia with Vabaduse Väljak, expect anything from some of the more hardcore bars that will guarantee lot of fun as well as some of the best places to go to kill your munchies early in the morning (Loca forever, I went also one time without being drunk and pizza still tasted amazingly). If something is never missing in this street is talkative people lubricated by alcohol.

Final photo of this walking photo-tour is in Sakala (sounds like take it out in Spanish, which always cause me a smile almost everyday I was walking by), one of the hubs of public transport, where lot of people walks by everyday. Unfortunately, people doesn't look the surroundings because they are used to it already, because they are going to fast to a warm place, or because their smartphone is seeking for their attention.

I sign off with the map used this time, see you soon with a different area to explore. Nägemist!
