My Journey as an MMA Fighter – Santhosh Kumar N

My name is Santhosh Kumar N, a 21-year-old engineering student currently studying at MITM College. Along with my academics, I have been training in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) for the past four years.

I started my competitive journey with kickboxing, where I gradually improved my skills through continuous training and dedication. My hard work helped me achieve a bronze medal at the state level and a gold medal at the national level in kickboxing.

One of the most important moments in my career came in May 2025, when I represented in the 7th International Thai Martial Arts Games held in Thailand. Competing against fighters from different countries was a great experience. I proudly won a bronze medal in K1 Kickboxing at this international event.

In recognition of my achievements, I was honored with the Kalabhushana Prashasthi Award in 2025 in the field of sports. This motivated me to work even harder.

Balancing engineering and MMA training is not easy, but with discipline and time management, I continue to improve every day.

My goal is to represent my country at higher international levels and build a strong name in MMA. This is just the beginning of my journey.
