When 5D Fades: Why We Keep Returning to 3D

3D is where we truly experience, learn, and receive our manifestations.

Some days, you may feel like you are floating in 5D – a space, or a state of consciousness rather, where your mind and soul feel expanded, aware, and tapped into a higher source.

In this state, you may be able to access knowledge easily through your intuition and truly be able to remain light and at peace even as the world hits you with challenges.

This is a beautiful place to be… I think.

I say I think because something I have been experiencing for an extended period of time, and actually seems to be a common experience for other people, is that one does not get to stay in 5D forever.

Sometimes, we get plonked down to 3D and slowly forget higher awareness.

The experience of 5D

For clarity, when I refer to 5D, I refer to the state of being or state of consciousness where you have expanded perception and awareness.

You may be able to see signs, synchronicities, and connections everywhere. It can feel like the world is speaking to you at all times, guiding you. Almost like if you were to voice your experience out loud, some may think you have lost the plot.

You may feel driven by a deeper sense of knowing rather than being influenced as easily by the ego. You do not behave out of a need to prove anything but rather through clarity and benevolence.

Time may feel almost dream-like – it does not feel like it progresses linearly, but rather has a heartbeat of its own. Time seems to expand and contract in a way that behaves with its own unique rhythm.

Experiencing a sense of awe or beauty may feel natural. In fact, in 5D, it’s almost impossible not to notice the magic and wonder in even the simplest of things. You only have to take a look at a tree or a piece of artwork to experience a sense of divine beauty.

Scarcity doesn’t exist. Somewhere, somehow, you know everything is going to be okay and that there is endless abundance.

And most importantly, you remember who you are. You remember that you are infinite, and the material world or external factors do not do much to quell your sense of inner knowing and remembrance.

In 5D, you may rarely question the spiritual nature of reality because it is so natural and effortless to tap in and just… know. Know that you are spirit, and not material.

The experience of 3D

However, the reality is that we do not get to only experience the 5D exclusively and live in this state forever.

First, let me describe my experience of what it feels to be in 3D, and then move into why I think we stay in this dimension, sometimes longer than we may like to.

By 3D, I refer to the earthly and material plane – the Earthly part of “Earth school”.

3D feels dense. It feels like cause-and-effect. It feels like identity.

In 3D, I am my role – I am a woman, a dentist, a daughter, a partner, a stepmother, and more.

I am my emotions – I get angry, sad, exhausted, resentful, stressed.

Time feels heavy and slow – the future sometimes feels arduous to think about, delays are felt to my bones.

My body feels wired, tired, agitated, irritated.

In 3D, I can remember spirituality and yet it feels more effortful to know, you know? I know I am spirit, and yet I feel like me. The identity-kind of me.

It feels like consequences are real, not as if it were always divinely orchestrated. It almost feels like every action has a reaction and that every possible consequence exists.

It feels like I need to control things – ironic as I’ve always preached that we must let go of control.

The synchronicities are there, yet it is almost more difficult to believe that they are synchronicities, but rather that they are simply coincidences.

The contrast between 3D and 5D is real.

In 3D, I find myself questioning everything I’ve ever known or believed while in 5D.

The Why: Integrating 3D and 5D

So why is it that we get plonked down into 3D? I get asked this frequently.

My understanding of it is this: we came to experience Earth school on Earth. On the Earthly plane.

What if we incarnated not to escape into the higher dimensions while here, but rather to stay immersed within the game of Earth school? To experience it in a way that is meant to make us mostly forget that we are spirit in human bodies?

What if we get to experience 5D at the orchestrated times, so that we can remember, but then we gradually return to forgetting such that we experience the game without having constant access to the cheat codes?

What if it is mostly through the Earthly plane that we can receive our manifestations? Sure, we may create them through thought and frequency, but material can only be received in the material world.

While I miss being able to access higher dimensions so easily and frequently, I realise there are many benefits to residing predominantly in 3D.

First, the experience of 3D Earth is beautiful. This is where contrasts exist: pain and pleasure, working and relaxing, stress and relief, hot and cold, limitation and liberation. This is the realm where you get to truly immerse yourself in the entire spectrum of sensory, emotional, and physical experiences.

Next, 3D is where we we can truly receive. If you are manifesting money or a home, this is where you receive it. After all, these are material things. If you are manifesting a better job, or a specific circumstance, this is where you receive it.

Also, 3D and 5D do not easily mix. This is an energetic principle which also applies to the human experience. When you are in 5D, it is very difficult to engage with and appreciate people whose level of awareness resides primarily in 3D. And vice versa.

So then, if you truly are trying to manifest something, it makes sense why you might need to be in the material world to receive it.

I’ve realised that 3D is actually fun. Sure, a little repetitive. A little stressful depending on what life you’ve created for yourself. A little unpredictable. And yet, all the more rewarding when you do overcome challenges or receive manifestations.

The beauty for awakened souls is that we get to play the game while also having read the how-to-play manual.

Maybe 3D is not a punishment or failure, but the place where spiritual insight becomes embodied, tested, received, and lived.

Final reflections

Something I have learnt is there is no good or bad when it comes to 5D or 3D – it just is. There are “pros” and “cons” to being on either. The key is to integrate them both, and be able to appreciate whichever state your consciousness is in.

While synchronicities were endless for me in 5D, I must emphasise that I have never received so many rewards and manifestations as I have in the last year or so, the period where I’ve been so grounded in 3D that I can’t even remember having written the articles that I did while in 5D.

So, I guess I write this to validate whoever is experiencing similarly that this is what we came to do. We came to play – on 3D. We came to experience and to learn.

And how can one truly learn if we do not immerse ourselves in the game fully?

Thank you for reading.
