a real life story.. 🍂
It was late at night. The noise of the city had slowly faded into silence, and the world seemed to be asleep. But inside Madiha’s heart, there was a strange restlessness that refused to disappear. For months, she had been haunted by the same dream. Every night, she found herself walking on an empty road covered in darkness. The sky looked lifeless, the wind cold and heavy, and the silence felt unnatural. As she walked, she sensed that something unseen was following her. She could not see it clearly, but she could feel its presence drawing closer with every step. Fear tightened around her chest. She tried to run, but her feet felt weak, as though the darkness itself was holding her back. And then, in the middle of that terrifying silence, words escaped from her lips almost instinctively. “Allah is the Greatest.” The moment she began to recite the words of Allah, the darkness around her started to weaken. Whatever was chasing her could no longer come near. Madiha continued reciting verses from the Quran, especially Ayat-ul-Kursi, and suddenly the dream shattered. She would wake up breathless, her heart racing violently. Yet despite the fear, there was always a strange feeling of peace left behind. One evening, unable to bear the confusion any longer, Madiha visited an old imam. The imam’s face carried wisdom, and his voice had the calmness of someone who had spent years close to faith. After listening carefully, the imam smiled gently and said, “My daughter, not every dream is meant to harm you. Sometimes dreams reflect the fears hidden inside the human heart. But look closely at your dream — every time darkness approaches, you turn towards Allah, and every time you are protected.” Madiha remained silent, listening carefully. The imam continued, “The world will always contain darkness. Fear will always try to chase the human soul. But a heart connected to Allah can never truly be conquered by it. Your dream is not only about fear; it is also about protection, faith, and the power of remembrance.” That night, Madiha performed ablution before sleeping. She recited Ayat-ul-Kursi, Surah Al-Falaq, and Surah An-Naas, then closed her eyes peacefully. The dream returned once again. The same empty road. The same cold darkness. The same unseen presence following her. But this time, she was not afraid. She raised her head and began reciting the words of the Quran with certainty in her heart. Slowly, the darkness faded away, as though it had no power left before the light of faith. For the first time in months, Madiha woke up not with fear, but with peace. And in that quiet moment before dawn, she finally understood: A person’s greatest protection is not found in strength, but in faith and trust in Allah.
