What is Morphology in Mesenchymal Stem Cells?

Mesenchymal Stem Cells
**Mesenchymal Stem Cells **are distinguished by a small cell body with a few long and thin cell processes. The cell body has a large, round nucleus with a prominent nucleolus that is surrounded by finely dispersed chromatin particles, which gives the nucleus a clear appearance. A small amount of Golgi apparatus, rough endoplasmic reticulum, mitochondria, and polyribosomes remain in the cell body. The long and thin cells are widely dispersed, and the adjacent extracellular matrix contains a few reticular fibrils but no other types of collagen fibrils. Using live cell imaging, these distinct morphological features of mesenchymal stem cells can be visualised label-free.
