TextNow Moving to T-Mobile for SIM Cards

TextNow recently announced that they were moving to a new GSM cell provider for 2021. Through a small amount of research, I’ve pinpointed T-Mobile as the new network. The current Sprint-powered network uses CDMA technology, which is older. The new T-Mobile powered GSM network should be faster for most users, though some older phones may not support it. Hopefully TextNow does not discontinue their CDMA network. Overall, the network shift should not cause problems for the vast majority of users, and should result in a speed boost to new users.
