A Weeks Dyari

I moved, two weeks ago to Malang City, East Java. Im doing an internship for 4 months. I was shocked when i came for the first time, without holiday and without family. I have a family in this place, but Im too shy too meet them, without my parents.

*By the way, Im Madurans. Who attended public university in Madura.

I really comfort with the air, cold and warm. I really love with their bakso, the bakso have an unique fried food. I love with the city streets, not to much people and still deserted. 80% Iwant to living here.

But Iwas shocked with stall, who deserve regular side dish but pricy. In my hometown, the price in Malang was similiar for a fried rice, batagor, and many course. But I didn’t think it would be that expensive. Sate madura i’ve bought when i first came is sold at price Rp. 18.000.- with a rice. I was very shocked! In Madura you will find at a cheap price, just Rp.10.000,- with a rice and with a more good taste.

• Okay, one of you will comments like “How dare you compare between Malang and Madura?!”

Im sorry. I just wanna share my story, that I was shocked. And I know, not all sate in Malang expensive. I know. This story began just to talk about how shocked Iam.

That story before I don’t know where stall given a best taste and a cheap price. I’ve been living here for one week, so I learn from my supervisor in my office, she told me where I can find a best taste and a cheap price stall in Malang, near my homestay.

Malang, really comfort. The trees along the road, so the air stays cool even the sun is hot. I went to Kayoe Tangan, car free day in Idjen Boulevard (Sorry, what is Boulevard mean, cs I always remember song from Green Day, Boulevard From Broken Dream!), I went to Universitas Negeri Malang, Univesitas Brawijaya, I went to Balai Kota, and Alun-Alun.

There’s so much something interesting in Malang. I could gather with my bestie here.

One point I always remember: earn money is harder. Work needs energy. Work is difficult, even you love it or not. Work needs a much time of your live.

This experience will precious. I could doing internship in a mini corporate, eanganged in media field of Malang. We’re doing an interview for a Malang citizen and I edited a weeks videos.

I think, if I’ve done working here, I would be more values my money, my time, and my energy. Cause working is not easy as I see. Earning money, can’t be instant!
