A Vision of Love, Safety, and Forever Together

I dream of building a rich interior into an empty shell, a home for the spirit. A place where hugs float in the air, where thoughts turn into laughter and fun among family members. A place that feels like a long hug after a difficult day, where no one needs to put on a fake smile-here is where I want to build for us. Piece by piece, day by day.

Not perfect in design, but ours. The walls might be paneled with wallpaper stained a thousand times, or maybe even tile-random and mismatching colors-and the furniture may be painted with bold abstract refractions of the color scheme in the walls. But warmth-With memories made from cold feet in shared experiences, with lazy mornings sweating under thick sleepiness, with late-night talks about nothing and everything under blanket stars-the home warmth fills every corner and distance in-between. In this home, silence is welcome and not crushing-you just exist, and that's enough.

We will fill it with everything worthy of us: photographs of places that we have been to or will want to go to, a shelf laden with books, and a little music playing in the background. These smells and sounds will be the scent and sound to make the house feel like our abode: fresh coffee made in the morning, dinner prepared in the evening, and your voice yelling my name from another room.

Where you would be able to finally lay down your dreams while walking away from your worries. An appointed place to just sit and breathe, knowing fully well that you are loved and understood. I promise to make that place with my very two hands, and toward making it, by pouring all of me into the means of time, reaffirmed love, and unshifting presence every day thrown on this first-billion-chance-in-a-lifetime-one.

We will build rooms for joy and growth, maybe a room for people to go barefoot and dance around chasing each other. But then, there will be a room for sadness and healing, for when life just gets too heavy on all of us. This house will not help us escape such a season. Notwithstanding, it will come through the season with us.

My house is not a place meant for status or for style: it will be truly for substance. It will be the place we go back to whenever the world drains us. A house where the lights will never be off for you, no matter how dark the world is outside.

Someday, in the future, I shall build us a home that feels like a home: a place which speaks, "You belong," in every corner, in every cushion, in every quiet moment. Not a perfect house, but a real home, built with love, grounded in trust, and wrought together by all the things that truly matter. So, until then, I shall continue dreaming, making my plans, and loving you. Because even now, before the substructure is laid, I have started building it with every promise, with every hope, and with every piece of my heart.
