The story of a dog

I am a guy who likes dogs. I like them so much, that they almost replaced my human friends. They don’t lie, they don’t scam anybody, they are never a two face bitch.

Their sentiments are pure and they will be always your friend. Maybe the only friend that can listen about your deepest feelings and emotions an you can be sure that they won’t talk about them with others. Because they can’t speak and this is a kind punishment for them and for us, altogether.

But, I think that even the dogs could talk, they wouldn’t. Rather they wil try to help and support us in everything. They are not high maintenance, unless they become sick, and if we take care of them, they can live longer happy lives.

Aretha

My dog is a female black lab, named Aretha. Restless and always happy, Aretha seems to be the perfect canine companion. Maybe because is just a dog, like some people say, maybe because the dogs always know how to extract happiness from the simplest facts of life.

I manage to teach her to whisper when she barks when my girlfriend sleeps and I always laugh when she comes and me and I only hear her teeth hitting one another…

Aretha is still young at two and a half years and I will enjoy her many years for now, but I can’t stop thinking sometimes what will it happen when she will be gone. And that is one of a may differences between us and dogs. They don’t think ahead, they are enjoying the moment.
