Vishal wrote the first iconic guideline — my sincere appreciation to him for drafting the original framework.

When I incorporated this publication, I genuinely believed the authorized capital (read: followers) was too low for anyone to invest their words here. But you, my Shadowies, proved that goodwill is stronger than numbers. Let this stand as my officially recorded gratitude, entered into the proceedings.

New Rules & Regulations

(Applicable with immediate effect) Shadows in the Library

1. Mandatory Attachment Clause Every article shall include at least one image, duly credited or sourced from Unsplash. No unauthorized use — let’s stay compliant.

2. Formatting & Presentation Compliance Proper titles, subtitles, and structured formatting are compulsory. Think of it as maintaining statutory registers... clean, clear, and readable.

3. Tagging Requirement Use the tag “Shadows in the Library” along with four other relevant tags. Non-compliance may result in delayed approval

4. Freedom of Expression Policy Freedom of speech is welcome. However, it operates within reasonable restrictions. Hate speech, misogyny, misandry, racism, or any discriminatory content will not be entertained. Consider this our internal code of conduct, strict but fair.

Adherence to Medium Policies All submissions must comply with Medium’s rules and community standards. Plagiarism, copied content, AI-generated spam, or policy violations will lead to immediate removal. Let’s keep this space original, ethical, and respectful

Process to Become a Writer

Follow the publication. Comment: “Add me as writer.”

Upon approval, you shall be deemed admitted, no complicated compliance filings required.

Shadows in the Library exists for misfits, loners, overthinkers, quiet weirdos...and also perfectly normal people who just happen to have one strange thought at 2 a.m. Both categories qualify. No eligibility criteria based on personality type.

To those who already hold membership in this library, and to those who soon will — thank you for choosing this space for your words. I hope to see you grow here, evolve here, and perhaps become permanent stakeholders of this little literary company we are building together.
