Fundraising for Edhi Foundation & Akhuwat One Day Experience

When I first heard about this project, I thought fundraising would be straightforward. Ask people collect money, done. But the reality was very different. Today our batch went out to raise funds for Edhi Foundation,and Akhuwat. These are two amazing organizations helping people all across Pakistan. We spent the whole day reaching out to university students, and even some strangers. Honestly, It was not easy. A lot of people just ignored us and walked away. That felt discouraging , but we did not give up. We kept approaching people and staying positive, but by the end of the day, we had raised 19000 rupees, which meant all the hard work worth it. The best lesson I took from today is to just be patient, Not everyone will say yes, and that is okay. As a person who is introvert and shy, It was uncomfortable for me and i was very nervous. But I’m very glad I did it ,It pushed me out of my comfort zone, and thought that if you just start and keep going, you will get results.
