Other options for data centers

Data centers don’t have to be the problems they are becoming. Solar and wind reduce environmental concerns.
They can be located in outer space, where they get their power from the sun, and need no water or air for cooling.
They can be located in existing man-made lakes. Keywords: existing man-made.
They can be built deep in the ground in abandoned mines and abandoned military bunkers where natural geothermal keeps them cool.
Distributed data processing allows the use of small data centers in homes and businesses. You could house one in an unused closet or a garage.
In abandoned shopping centers and malls.
The tragedy of current efforts to build data centers is that greedy investors and tech bros are currently attempting to build far more data centers than we will ever need. In 20 years or less, most will have closed, leaving us with giant buildings no one can afford to buy and use. You know, just like empty big box retailers have done.
The problem is developers who are pushing spineless politicians to always jump on the next big thing instead of looking at better ways of doing things.
Please share so others will know and keep pushing back against the current trend to destroy the world with data centers.
