How to Install and Run Zphisher

1. Let’s examine the installation and usage of Zphisher. To start, type “Zphisher” into your browser and choose the github link.

2. To view the Zphisher installation procedure for Kali Linux, scroll down.

3. Launch Kali Linux in a virtual box and open the root terminal. Enter the commands below. After installing the zphisher, make sure you change the directory to zphisher and install zphisher.sh file.

bash zphisher.sh

4. The terminal launches Zphisher along with a menu after the file has been installed. Let’s say we chose “instagram” from the list of choices

5. Next, we choose option 1, Localhost, since it runs immediately and includes a built-in server for instant feedback. Then enter “y” to choose a custom port.

6. The URL [http://127.0.0.1:8080] will be used to host a custom port. Launch Mozilla Firefox in Kali, then copy and paste the URL and hit enter.

7. Instagram’s login page shows up; to test it, provide any random login credentials and click “Login”. ex: Username: abc@gmail.com Password: admin@123

8. Clicking “login” will redirect you to Instagram’s original login page, but in the meantime, Zphisher has recorded the credentials you typed on the previous page.

What happened here is, Zphisher hosted a port that creates a fake Instagram login page; when the user enters the credentials, the IP address and login details are recorded.
