When You Put Money First, You Can Destroy Relationships and Business

Money is important. We all need it to survive, build businesses, take care of our families and achieve our goals. But when money becomes more important than people, trust and integrity, it can destroy both relationships and businesses.

Some people are so focused on making money that they forget the importance of treating people well. They sacrifice friendships, family relationships, partnerships and loyal customers just to make a little extra profit.

The truth is, money can be recovered, but broken trust is much harder to rebuild.

In business, people remember how you treated them. A customer may forget the price you charged, but they will remember whether you were honest, respectful and dependable. A business built only on profit may grow quickly, but a business built on trust can survive for generations.

The same thing applies to relationships. If every conversation becomes about money, what someone can give you, or what you can gain from them, eventually the relationship loses its genuine value.

Don’t let money become your master. Let it be a tool.

Build relationships. Keep your word. Treat people with respect. Be fair in business. Help others when you can.

Because sometimes, the person you are trying to make money from today could have been the person who would have helped you tomorrow.
