About Ava Labs HK: An overview of how Jacky Kong, after being dismissed from both Mina Foundation and IOSG Ventures, has used his employee status to sow discord between projects and investors.

There is a significant information gap between the Chinese crypto community and the North American one.

However, since Ava Labs is both a portfolio company of IOSG and an organization that has industry overlap with the Mina Foundation, I believe Ava Labs has the right to know some details about your current employee Jacky Kong (Twitter: @jackykong01).

Jacky Kong has also gone by the name Kakie Hung. By his own admission, shouted in anger, he was fired by IOSG Ventures. After leaving IOSG, he joined the Mina Foundation, but was soon terminated again for serious violations of professional ethics.

After being dismissed from Mina Foundation, he immediately went back to the founders he had once met during his time at IOSG. He pressured them through angry rants and moral blackmail, even leaking IOSG’s confidential information and insulting multiple executives.

He publicly claimed that he was fired because IOSG had “spoken badly about him” to the Mina Foundation. But in reality, his actual issue at Mina Foundation was secretly selling allocation.

Nevertheless, he repackaged himself as “the righteous one” while throwing all the blame and mud at IOSG. — Ironically, IOSG is one of Avalanche’s investors, yet Ava Labs has now hired someone who was dismissed by their own investor, and who goes around smearing and attacking that very investor.

Moreover, his Mina Foundation experience has now been deleted from his LinkedIn profile.

2. During his time at Litentry, Kakie Hung / Jacky Kong leveraged his BD position not only to continue spreading malicious gossip about IOSG’s leadership behind their backs, but also to insult women in the Polkadot ecosystem based on their appearance.

He even mocked the looks of Qinwen Wang, former Head of Web3 Foundation China, using crude language that revealed his deep-rooted misogyny and disrespect toward women.

He would also disguise his approach under the pretext of “asking questions” or “discussing cooperation for Litentry,” but then drag people into late-night voice calls where he would rant for two hours, repeatedly pressing them with questions like:

• “Are you recording this?”
• “I only say this because I treat you as a friend. Don’t you want to listen?”

This was nothing more than emotional blackmail, forcing IOSG portfolio founders to sit through his endless outpouring of baseless hostility and accusations toward IOSG. Worse still, this behavior was not occasional — it was persistent and ongoing.

Even more outrageous, he spread false rumors to IOSG portfolio projects, claiming that IOSG’s leadership often called him and his colleagues into closed-door meetings to “monitor projects.” He repeatedly indoctrinated founders with lines like: “Your investors are exploiting you,” deliberately sowing discord between investors and projects.

Jacky Kong (now under the Twitter handle @jackykong01), a man long dismissed from multiple organizations, relies on rants and emotional manipulation to harass projects, coercing them into turning against the very investors who support them. He has already lost the most basic standards of professional ethics and integrity.

So I must ask Ava Labs / Avalanche: When hiring employees, do you take into account their past professional conduct and the reputational risks they bring to your organization?
