Enhancing Early Childhood Creativity, UNTAG Surabaya KKN Students Visit PAUD Permata Bunda

Mojokerto — Students of the Community Service Program (KKN) from 17 August 1945 University (UNTAG) Surabaya carry out community service activities through the Creative Learning program at PAUD Permata Bunda, Cembor Village, Pacet District, Mojokerto Regency. This activity aims to enhance the creativity and learning interest of young children through enjoyable and educational learning methods.

This creative learning program is carried out through various activities, such as learning through play, singing, storytelling, and introducing flora using simple and child-friendly media. KKN students strive to create an interactive learning environment so that PAUD children become more active, confident, and enthusiastic in participating in activities.

One of the KKN UNTAG Surabaya students stated that this activity is a tangible form of student contribution in supporting early childhood education in the village. “We want to help preschool teachers by providing a variety of creative learning activities so that children do not get easily bored and can learn more enjoyably,” he said.

The head of PAUD Permata Bunda warmly welcomed the presence of KKN UNTAG Surabaya students. She believes that the activity has a positive impact on both the children and the educators. “The children look very happy and more enthusiastic. The methods introduced by the students can also serve as inspiration for us in our daily learning activities,” she said.

In addition to being beneficial for preschool children, this activity also serves as a social learning platform for students to understand community conditions and apply the knowledge they have gained in college. Through the community service program (KKN), students are expected to be able to become agents of change who care about the development of education in the community.

With the presence of creative learning activities at PAUD Permata Bunda in Cembor Village, KKN UNTAG Surabaya students hope to make a sustainable contribution to improving the quality of early childhood education while strengthening the relationship between the university and the community.
