AmplifyHer took place in March, 2026, at Flint Local 432.
NIGHT ONE — March 6: “Night one of AmplifyHer was incredible. Huge thank you to Jo Ikigai for opening AmplifyHer with such a powerful show, Feminine Rage. Shout out to all the amazing poets, artists, vendors, and our powerful panel of speakers who made the night unforgettable, and special thanks to Hunter O’Connor of Hive Holistic Center for guiding us through a beautiful healing journey. We’re back at it tonight for Night Two of AmplifyHer featuring Becky Coggins, Babe Wall, and Palm of Your Hand. Let’s do it again.”

NIGHT TWO — March 7: “Night Two of AmplifyHer was an incredible way to close out our opening weekend. Huge thank you to Becky Coggins, Babe Wall, and Palm of Your Hand for bringing such amazing performances to the stage. The turnout was incredible and the energy in the room was unmatched. This weekend truly set the bar for what’s ahead this month. I’m blown away by the response to AmplifyHer so far and can’t wait to see what the coming weeks bring.”

NIGHT THREE — March 13: “Night Three of AmplifyHer was an incredible Art Walk x AmplifyHer evening. The night kicked off with an amazing performance by MOUTHY, who came in and really set the tone for the night. We then shifted into an insightful and entertaining roundtable discussion featuring the Women of Flint’s theater scene, making for a truly special evening. Special thank you to Jim Fourniadis and Dark Rooms Productions for helping bring this night together.”

NIGHT FOUR — March 14: “Night Four of AmplifyHer was truly special. The love in the room, the energy in the room, the power in the room, it was something unforgettable. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Morgan Moon, Nyota, Taylor Tatum, Shira Eyonna, Shayla Hamady, and Dae Dae Flint for embodying everything that AmplifyHer is about. It was the perfect lineup to close out the second weekend of AmplifyHer.”

NIGHT FIVE — March 22: “Night Five of AmplifyHer featured Mott Community College’s Gay-Straight Alliance Glamapalooza, and it was such a fun night. Huge thank you to the GSA for organizing such a great event and bringing so much energy into the space. It’s crazy to think there’s only one more weekend left of AmplifyHer. It’s been an amazing ride so far, and I’m excited to close out the month on the highest note.”

NIGHT SIX — March 27: “Night Six of AmplifyHer was such a special night. Intimate, educational, and vulnerable, a truly powerful conversation and evening of music. Huge thank you to Adriana Lanice, Gabby Davis (DJ Smuvi), Jewel Brown, and Sara Hinojosa for sharing their insight, experiences, and advice with everyone in the room. It meant a lot and reminded me that none of us are alone in this journey. Huge thank you to Cris Da Boss for moderating the panel, and thank you to Pway Prophett, Reaper Reap, DreToonz, and Cris Da Boss for the impromptu performances that made the night even more special. One more AmplifyHer show to go.”

NIGHT SEVEN — March 28: “Night Seven of AmplifyHer was the perfect way to close out this incredible first run. Every performer who touched the stage not only embodied what it means to AmplifyHer, but also embodied what The Local is all about. I truly can’t put into words how happy I am with this show. Huge thank you to Audrey Dupuis, Darcy Moran, Stef Chura, and Living Al for being the perfect lineup to close out AmplifyHer (for now…). This entire series has meant so much to me personally. My heart is full from all the love and support for the Local and for AmplifyHer this month. This month challenged me, reinvigorated me, and reminded me why this space is so important. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, to every performer, every photographer, and every single person who came out to a show this month. AmplifyHer will be back.”

AmplifyHer was meant to be a one-time deal, a single month of shows to bring together some often-overlooked Michigan talent. After experiencing this month of events, AmplifyHer is here to stay. Keep an eye out for AmplifyHer shows over the coming months — and another month of programming in March, 2027.
Our thanks to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint and their Flint Women and Girls Fund for supporting this program.
