How To Deal With An Ever Screaming Boss

It has worked for me more than once.

Most of us have bosses. I am talking about the people whom we work for and pay us our salary.

The people we love and sometimes dislike. I don’t want to say “hate” because that is such a big and harsh word.

Also, if one day I piss off the devil, which I do all the time because the devil and I don’t get along at all. I hate it and rebuke it to fires day and night, morning and evening. So, in case it decides to expose me and my boss sees this, I can be able to explain “disliking,” but it would be difficult to defend hating.

For the record, I love my boss. He is kind, generous, and the most selfless person I have ever met. I tell people this a lot, and I will write it here too: if at least 2% of the rich people in the world were as kind and generous as him, Jesus’ death for mankind would have been worth it.

And I know no one as smart as him.

But he would win the screaming and yelling trophy if there is ever one. Please let me know, and I will nominate him.

You can never win, let it be a conversation or an argument against him, even if he is the wrong one. So, I will always be the employee and apologize for his fault. That way, he walks away as big as he should.

However, there are times when I can’t do it. Like, I have no patience to deal with his screaming. Here are two things that I do and have worked for me more than twice;

I scream back.

When he starts to scream without catching a breath, not allowing me to explain, not realizing I am an adult and I am not deaf, which means I can hear if he used an inside voice, more so over something, I know I am 100% right, I scream back!

I scream so loud to make sure I match his level of screaming. I am naturally not a loud person, so when I do, it’s because you have tested my patience.

I just stare

Without responding, I let him scream and just stare at him. When he finally keeps quiet, I will respond with just one simple line,

“I am sorry, sir, but I didn’t understand anything. Could you please repeat this so that we are on the same page here?”

Take a bathroom break.

I go to the bathroom and stand in front of the mirror. I yell to my reflection in the mirror and pretend in my head I am screaming back at my boss. Then, I come back to my seat and get the work done beyond expectation.

However, I only do the first two when he crosses the line when I know I am 100% right. When other employees are not there, so I don’t bruise his ego. When I have done my job perfectly, and once a month — he screams and yells every day.

Sometimes, someone needs to give these bosses a taste of their behavior.

Note. Don’t show up late, causing problems and trouble all the time, and try this. You will get fired the moment you try to play damn or scream back.

Also, seven hours ago, I screamed back at him via a video call like I have never before. It’s now 11:00 pm on a Sunday, and I just got home from the office because he wanted the work that was meant to be done in two days to be completed before midnight.
