MGNREGA Scheme 2023
The Government of India has developed the MNREGA program as a program to ensure employment. On September 7, 2005, the Legislative Assembly approved this plan. After that, on February 2, 2006, the MNREGA program was launched in 200 districts. NREGA, or the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, was the original name of the MGNREGA Yojana. However, it was renamed the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act on October 2, 2009.
The MNREGA program is the only program in the world that assures citizens of 100 days of employment. This program was designed to give the country’s destitute and unemployed households a means of subsistence. In the fiscal year 2010–11, the Central Government set aside Rs. 40,100 crore for the implementation of this program. Through this program, individuals from lower socioeconomic groups are given jobs inside their own Gram Panchayat. As a result, their ability to migrate can be greatly limited. To get employed under this program, a person must first register. After registration, an MNREGA employment card is provided. The card user has the option to secure 100 days of employment thanks to the MGNREGA Job Card.
