Inspiring Star: Kefas James Lungu

Meet Kefas James Lungu, a visually impaired DevOps engineer based in Abuja. Though he studied History and International Studies at the University of Jos, his passion led him to the world of tech and DevOps.

Kefas discovered DevCareer during a search for tech communities that could offer him the sense of belonging he longed for. and he found DevCreer Since joining, he has tapped into opportunities to learn, network, and grow.

His notable achievements within the community include forming new personal and professional connections and learning from both mentors and peers. Outside the community, Kefas has earned three Microsoft certifications, reached the Gold milestone in the Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors programme, and has grown into a community leader, now mentoring others.

Data Science & Python Technical Channel

Inspiring Star: Abayomi Samson Ohinimeh

Based in Kaduna, Nigeria, Abayomi Samson Ohinimeh has a background in agriculture and scientific research, with a deep interest in technology and innovation. He is driven by a passion for programming that connects services, businesses, and customers to real-world solutions.

Abayomi found the DevCareer community while developing his programming skills. He stayed because of the supportive people who helped him grow — and today, he credits the community with playing a key role in his personal and professional transformation.

He listed his notable achievements as:

• Conducted significant academic research, including the screening of IAR-released cowpea varieties.
• Developed leadership skills as a Master of Ceremony and public speaker.
• Is currently working on SwiftLink, a platform connecting service providers and customers securely through an escrow system.
• On a personal level, becoming a dog owner has further instilled responsibility and care.

Inspiring Star: Aluko Emmanuel Ooreoluwa

Aluko Emmanuel Ooreoluwa is a passionate and driven tech enthusiast, growing steadily in Full Stack Development, Machine Learning, and Cloud Technologies. He’s also actively engaged in social media management, music, and livestream production, fusing creativity with technology to inspire impact.

How He Found DevCareer: “I came across DevCareer while searching for African tech communities that support and empower young minds. What truly caught my attention were the free training opportunities, engaging sessions, and the vibrant, active learning environment. For me, DevCareer represents a world of opportunity that many young Africans dream of.”

Aluko’s Achievements:

• Advanced his skills in Python and React, building backend projects and solving technical challenges.
• Engaged in meaningful developer discussions and collaborative growth.
• Selected for the 2025 Kubernetes African Developer Training Programme by Andela — a major milestone in his journey.
