Does MCSA, MCSE MCSE certifications expired?

MCSA, MCSD, MCSE certifications retired; with continued investment to role-based certifications. Actually these certifications don’t really expired but instead, it’s been updated into role-based certifications.

Microsoft has announced MCSA, MCSD, MCSE certifications retirement but in conjunction with thereupon, they also introduced their specialization in role-based training and certifications in early September 2018. This simply means there’s no termination of these Certifications but rather they need to update it in an easy and modern way. There was misinformation regarding the retirement of this certification on the web.

Clearly, there’s nothing getting to be terminated but only they need updating the previous Certifications(by changing the names of the exams) and in conjunction with thereupon, Microsoft added some new features and topics on the new update regarding Cloud-based certifications, hence they have to reinforce their Certifications into Cloud world.

UPDATE: March 26 2020. All remaining exams associated with Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate(MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer(MCSD), Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) will retire on January 31, 2020.

Since Microsoft announced their specialization in roles-based certifications. they’ve added a complete of 32 certifications to their portfolio across Azure, Modern, Workplace, and Business Applications. As they still expand on role-based learning offerings, “all remaining exams related to Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) will retire on June 30, 2020”, said by Microsoft.

If you’re working towards an MCSA, MCSD, or MCSE certifications, you’ll be wanting to pass all required exams before they retire. The list below shows existing exams that can retire. Note that training content should be available in these areas even after the exams have retired.

“If you have an existing MCSA, MCSD, and MCSE certification, it’ll remain on your Microsoft transcript, even after the exams retire. in fact, it will remain in the active section of your transcript for two years from June 30, 2020; at that time the certification will be moved to the “inactive” section of your transcript”
