Goodbye Razer

Sent my mouse to a better home, making a better home

I have 3 computers, all used / cheap, and tonight was Sis’ birthday dinner. I gave her my Razer Deathadder v2. She uses a Macbook and could do with a wireless BT mouse. The DA v2 has a great design, ergonomic, curvy, sensitivity-configurable on the fly. I wish I had a Kensington trackball -sometimes.

But what’s really on my mind is getting people talking about the times we live in, and the importance of mental discipline. Yea, I hand out candy to family and friends, and pray openly online (as in here, often), for their matanoeo moment. I’m not quite sure how money came to rule over morals and morals over compassion, compassion over simple knowledge of our inner and outer natures. I mean, Tao gave way to Buddhism, to Judaism, to Christianity, all the while gathering sorcerous lint. ‘It came from the clothes we have to wear’.

And I wish miniskirts and bell bottoms would make a return.

But it’s past 1am. I just posted the daily mini story on my Google site. And installed my Python 3.11 music-composition app on the Windows 11 box. Recorded my lagu Melayu for FB and X. It cost me a follower but I had to give the world a Malay song. Cross one more thing off the list. I also have to tastefully appear naked online someday — not really…

Back on topic, my Christian aunt told Mom about the meek inheriting the earth. And so I was given a lecture --’not to let people bully you, just because you are meek’. Later the twist in the tale came, meek people are really stronger than bullies. ‘You are strong, really. You will never hurt others in anger’ — I was confused. Is there a confuddled in there even?

Mom, seriously — matanoeo. I know your thought patterns are popular / evergreen, but Jesus says no.

And what drives a person to repentance can be unexpected. I have the kind of IQ of, here’s a gift. Just like my grandaunt who was a struggling school teacher. I do give close ones my things, regularly. I do hope they find a soft spot for me, and maybe I can be an influence of some sort. I know it seems cookie cutter, assembly line, and mercenary but love is a meaningless, dirty word nowadays, don’t you agree?

I got Dad’s IKEA chair. He decided to ditch it and told me to try it out. Really, it’s not that great. I would prefer lounging on my mattress most of the time. But for disciplined work at the PC, it’s nice to have. Keeps me glued to the desk longer, get stuff done on time. Speaking of that, it’s now too late to do any sensible coding. Preaching online, and writing my stories take up most of the day.

I took my meds and brushed. Workout to follow shortly. In place of the Razer, I have the original Lenovo ThinkPad wifi dongle mouse I got for circa $20 at their retail outlet. It has a soft touch scroll wheel click button which is good for Linux and comes with the branding on its black plastic shell.

PS. I will be heading out on a rare walk tomorrow morning. Get some exercise and sunshine. Probably will hit the Digimall. May get Dad a second HomePod Mini so he can have stereo sound.
