A crazy idea
The plan
I’ve successfully used the pipeline Hugo -> GitHub -> CloudFlare Pages to build my personal website and rebuild my blog. I thought that I could ask Claude Code to write a program that monitors my “datacenter” and writes the output to a Hugo local website. Every 10 minutes it refreshes the pages. Potentially it would also be possible to publish it to a public URL.
The development
A directory called tintospia, two subdirs called tintospiacode and tintospiasite. Two corresponding GitHub repos. The first for the code, the second for Hugo’s site. I started presenting the schema to Claude Code and he approved it. He started developing pages for monitoring Veeam, ProxMox and Vmware. I chose an Ubuntu VM with 1vCPU and 4 GB Ram in a slow NUC 🙂
In a couple of hours it was ready to be shared with close friends, published via CloudFlare Pages. The day after I reworked a bit on it while watching Sinner regaining n°1 in the ATP. It was showing a bit too much over my infrastructure, so I had to protect it with CloudFlare Access.
I was safer but still wanted to share my project for getting some feedback. A new directory called tintospiademosite and a corresponding GitHub repo. Currently it’s visible for everyone at

The info present in it shouldn’t be too dangerous to be shared. Anyway I can later switch some info/pages on or off.
There is a lot to do, i.e. enhance Veeam server monitoring.

Maybe it’s just a joke but I like it: I have a fully customizable, tailor made online report that I can see from anywhere on the phone. There are a lot of monitors but… this is 100% free and I can easily modify and configure it by talking in natural language to Claude Code. It’s fully versioned, backed up on GitHub, static, very fast. Hard to hack because it’s fully static and protected by CloudFlare WAF rules.
It runs on a very little machine that can be replaced by an old Raspberry. My next goal is to make it run on an Arduino Uno Q. It’s a Single Board Computer very cheap (€70) and small, with low power consumption.

And… It has a Microcontroller and a little LED matrix on board. Further dev could be:
- make the LED matrix display a smiling/meh/sad smiley when things run fine/so-so/bad
- turn on an emergency light or bell when things are going really bad 😃
- monitor room temperature with a sensor
If everything works (I have no doubt about this: maybe I’m not able to, but a decent developer is) with less than €100 it’s possible to build a little Monitoring Device that can check your network & systems, your server room status, publish detailed data on the internet, display some immediately understandable icons locally and fire a physical alert when needed. Guess it could be useful for SOHO, manufacturing, branch offices and whatever.
