Q2, 2026.

What a privilege, this great life I have.

There are so many things in this life I happen to be exceptionally good at. At the top of this list is being very hopeful and optimistic.

I cannot tell where from I picked up this trait. But if genetics have any hand in it, I would guess i picked it up from my father.

Tomorrow, 2nd of July is my father’s birthday. He would be turning 68 years old. Yet, never have I ever seen him without joy and sparkles.

His life has not been easy. No, far from it. He has weathered the worst storms by himself. Perhaps God knew.

God knew to give me to him because… do you know what’s better than one hopeful and optimistic person? TWO hopeful and optimistic people! Father and Daughter! A dynamic duo.

Speaking of duos, mum and dad got back from Canada in April. Just in time for mummy’s birthday. The entire extended family gathered to celebrate her.

My family being extended makes me appreciate bonds even closely. I appreciate the friendships and bonds I have formed outside of family. Q2 had some of the best of these bonds. For instance, starting with 5-Alive.

On the first of May, I went out with my sisters on a date to pleasure park. We painted, we talked, we rode a boat. We laughed. We hugged.

A few weeks later I was invited for a games night that kind of changed my life? As the sequence of events that followed after appeared as though that night was a necessity.

not sure what was happening here, but me and Ruby were relaxing and bonding.

I formed new friendships. Friendships that helped me get through the entire of Q2. I am grateful for them. God loves me. The universe favors me.

Of honorable mention is my friend Kwafe, he’s been very supportive and present in my life this quarter. I do not know if he’ll see this, but thank you. Very much.

Dera is a staple, haha! I do not know if he knows that he’s stuck with me forever. But yes, forever grateful for him.

I took long walks this quarter, but I also danced a lot. In this photo I was taking a walk and thought the day was bright and beautiful. Bright and beautiful enough for a picture. So I took a picture. My phone placed on the floor, ears plugged listening to Red Potion by Rema, heart beating very fast as there was an oncoming vehicle. Haha! I love my life.

I don’t remember reading or finishing any book this quarter, I had a lot of manuscripts to work on and I even casually ghostwrote an international bestseller. See, my life is soo awesome. Haha!

I appreciate everyone so much, I don’t think I tell everyone how much I love them or that I love them enough. But I tell Dera everything. Haha.

In this screenshot I was explaining after a severe allergic reaction and downtime, to Dera, that I was falling in love again with life (I fall in an out of love with life every three days haha). I started to count my blessings in the form of the many people God had placed in my life. Man I am so blessed!

I know the life I have is a privilege. I am a woman of many means and privileges. One of these privileges being the privilege of writing and chasing my dreams on my terms, at my own pace.

I shared my goals recently with a friend and they had to wonder if I was even at all interested in still actively pursing a career in nursing. While I love nursing, it has to chill for a bit. Haha! It’s not for the weak and heaven knows I am just a girl.

I have to stop here. There is nothing else to say. I am grateful and excited to get into Q3. It’s always the best quarter of the year for me. It has my birthday.

Life has so much in store for me. I am open to receiving them all.
