This initiative originated from a concern over the potential extinction of Kelud orchids. I initiated collaborative discussions with colleagues and the Puspa Jagad community to establish orchids as a cultural and ecological identity of Tulungrejo, while promoting education through community-based educational tourism. I hope this initiative marks the beginning of greater public awareness in conserving local orchids, while fostering community engagement and strengthening the resilience of Kelud orchids.
