In Alma-chan Wants To Be A Family, Enji Kamisato and Suzume Yobane are two brilliant scientists who are ostracized from the scientific community. To prove their critics wrong, they created an Autonomous Learning Military Android, also known as Alma. Once online, Alma informs Enji and Suzume that she wants them to be her parents and for all of them to live together as a family. They are shocked by Alma’s request, but decide to oblige.

The show is an interesting concept. You have an Android wanting human experiences. Alma is very curious and eagerly explores the world around her. She tries to problem-solve different issues like making the class curriculum better at her school, protecting her fellow sister android from destruction, and learning how to bond with friends and family.

It is interesting to see Alma own her autonomy. She was created to cause destruction. However, she chose to live an ordinary life around the people that she cares about. It doesn’t matter what they are doing as long as they do it together. I think that you will like this series a lot if you are a fan of found family. A family is made of many different things, and Alma will make you want to be a part of her family too.
