What is Moksha really?

Is Moksha real?

Is there really liberation from the cycle of birth and death?

What if there is no real cessation of the cycle of birth-death? And Moksha is really about death of attachments?

The one who is Jeevan Mukta is essentially free of attachment. He is physically still alive, but deep down, at soul level he is unattached. He looks at life the way it is. Simply existing.

From my sādhanā and deep understanding of Pancha Kosha on which I have written a series of blogs, I have realised that the body is just a device for performing actions. That makes the body dead, just like any other machine or device, powerless without the life energy.

And the scriptures declare that the soul is eternal, unborn.

So if the soul is not born and the body is already dead, then who is really born? and who really dies?

I have come to this realisation that birth and death are merely events in the journey of life.

Life is an outcome of existence. Existence is eternal. Life however is an appearance in this eternal existence.

Everything that life experiences, is merely an event in it’s journey. From birth to death, from happiness to sorrow, from enlightenment to ignorance. All these events are like the sine wave, while life is the straight line which is constant through all the crests and troughs.

When the mind imitates life, the waves are closer to the line. And when mind strays away from life, the crests and troughs become bigger and distant from the straight line in the middle. But the wave still exists, just like the line.

Life isn’t about being a dead meat. Living without emotions, without any action.

The wave and the middle line are one and so are the emotions and actions along with life itself. Everything is part of that same one.

Enlightenment is really about embracing and adopting everything while staying unattached. And that is the final truth. Truth about self, about the universe, about life itself.

There is no real liberation from the cycle of birth and death. Even after enlightenment or moksha, life continues and will take a physical form.

Many in their spiritual journey seek escape from rebirth. But truth is, there is no escape. One who dies has to be born again. The journey of life continues. So may be the next birth may not be repeating the journey of learning again. But it still exists. Because existence is eternal.
