Who We Are

Since Kadena LLC’s decision to cease all activities, we had the desire to continue our vibrant community. Our initial move was to transfer control of the platform emissions to a new, community-aligned multisignature wallet, securing our network’s future, and freezing the platform share until a foundation answerable to the community can be established.

As always, we do not control the blockchain itself. Kadena remains a public, Proof-of-Work network where the miners ultimately have the final say, preserving the chain’s decentralized nature. The “kda token contract” and your personal assets remain entirely separate and untouched. Your wallet and your balances are, and always will be, your own.

This multisig is governed by five keyholders, a group carefully selected for their technical expertise and commitment to the cause:

How Does the Multisig Work?

The system is designed for security and collective responsibility. For any transaction to be approved, it must be signed by a minimum of three out of the five keyholders. This structure prevents any single individual from having unilateral control, ensuring that all actions are the result of a consensus.

What Does This Multisig Control?

This group is entrusted with the specific, powerful functions necessary to guide the network’s development, including:

• The release of platform emissions, which are frozen until a foundation answerable to the community can be established.
• Creating new Pact contract namespaces.
• Managing certain critical utility namespaces.

This is a provisional safeguard to ensure the network’s security and continuity. It is a temporary measure put in place while we work toward our ultimate goal: establishing a decentralized foundation or DAO for community-led governance of the platform emissions. This provides stability now, allowing us the time to build a truly community-owned future.
