Raiz Vertical — NFTs & Vertical farms? The future is not only NEAR, it’s here.

We had the pleasure to interview Emiliano Gutiérrez — CEO of Raiz.

What is Raiz?

Raiz is a Vertical Farming startup building a network of farms with the principles of technology, circularity and community.

Who are you?

We are a team of diverse people from different backgrounds (and palates!) with a shared belief for more sustainable ways of growing food and creating communities.

What was your first contact with Web3 and Blockchain?

Raiz was introduced to NEAR protocol by Arroz Estudios, where the Concept Farm was being launched in 2021. With a blockchain background from part of the team, we understood that to merge the physical and digital worlds and propel our impact, blockchain was an amazing tool.

What made you build on Mintbase?

Our first NFT collection is minted on Mintbase! As a great platform for creators to build and launch NFT projects and stores, it allowed us to deploy our first PlaNFTs (Utility NFTS linked to plants & hydroponic systems).

How has Mintbase influenced your business?

The supportive team and community helped us find and incentivise artists to generate unique Raiz artworks. By collaborating and exploring the boundaries of blockchain technology through NFTs, mintbase was eye opening in the sense that it allowed us to discover the potential between vertical farming assets and tokenization.
